What’s the best way to memorize something?
Are you fed up with learning for long hours and getting almost no results in return? It means that you should stop trying to get your marks better by spending more time with the books. What should you do is to change the way you learn and start doing it smart. How can it be done? You just have to discover the memorization technique which will be the best way to memorize something for you. In this article, I will introduce you to various options to choose from.
Associations system- my best way to memorize something
The first book which I’ve read on the topic was “Mnemotechics Made Simple”- and quite surprisingly it turned out to be the best way to memorize something for me. I’ve went through multiple memorization systems later, but this one is still the one which I use the most in my everyday life. The system itself is simple but effective- you create your own personal systems using numbers, associations and after you’re done with that, you just use it to quickly memorize informations you want to keep in mind. If you want to know more about this technique you can do this here.
Another very popular “memory hack”, which many people state is the best way to memorize something, is a memory palace. It’s a imaginary place with multiple distinctive places which you use as a kind of hooks on which you place the things you want to memorize. First of all, you have to decide on the formation of the rooms inside your palace. Then you should create the root of the walk you will be taking inside it while trying to recall something. Then you just have to imagine the characteristic spots you will use as “memory hooks”, like hanger, kitchen table etc. Now when trying to keep something in mind, just put it on certain places in your palace.
